Gifts from Russia
If you are thinking what to bring as a present from Russia you may find many things except for vodka and cavier - they'll finish soon and leave no memory (but still they are good presents to bring, of course).
There are lots of Russian craftsmen who do amazing things. On the photos below you can see an example of Khokhloma paintings. Of course it would be brilliant to bring a car like that))) But I't won't be allowed to a plane, so you should choose smth smaller :))

For example, if you have kids it would be great to buy wooden plates and spoons. In my childhood when we arrived to grannies we always used wooden spoons to eat hot soup - a wooden spoon does not heat up, less chances to burn lips or tongue.
Nowadays my son eats from a wooden plate with a wooden spoon designed by Khokhloma craftsmen.
If you don't have kids but have a wife/girlfriend you may find beautiful handmade jewel cases, for example.
The choice is really good.
Just imagine that all of these masterpieces are hand made and you can use them in your daily life or decorate your festive table and amaze your guests.
Khokhloma is typical to Nizhnii Novgorod but do not worry if you are not planning to go there this time. You can buy Khokhloma souvenirs at any souvenir shop.
